Seeing the Lord

I don't remember when I picked up a camera. I have photo albums by the hundreds back from the days of film - yes, film! Some of you reading this may not even know what film is, but I digress. I've been told for years by friends and family that I'm a pretty good photographer and that I've got a good eye. I would have to agree. Not having any formal training I've kinda just picked up the camera, focused and shot. This hobby has brought me... (posted by Patricia 259 days 19 hours ago.)
The Age of Technology and 9-11

It was a typical school morning - get the boys up, fed, books, backpacks and out the door. I didn't normally turn on the TV in the morning but for some odd reason I did on 9-11. I remember vividly the first photos of one tower with smoke billowing out of the windows and thinking, that's odd, is this a movie and not the news? Both of our sons and my husband now stood in front of the TV asking questions and trying to figure... (posted by Patricia 261 days 23 hours ago.)

Before... (posted by Patricia 270 days 22 hours ago.)
Loss is Still Loss

My immediate reaction on Monday brought me to tears as the memory of a previous suicide hit me like a ton of bricks. How can this be happening? He had a gun, he put it to his head and he pulled the trigger. Where you thinking about your 3 sons? Where you thinking about your ex-wife? Your parents? Your friends? Your family? What goes through a persons mind as they pull the trigger? In the wake of this tragedy what are we all supposed... (posted by Patricia 276 days 22 hours ago.)
Back to School - Watch the peddle!

My children have long since grown and gone - 25 and almost 27 years old, and yet, this time of year brings me back to a photo I have tucked away in an old album. It's a photo of both of the boys dressed in their new school finest, lunch boxes in hand and not a smile to be found! I remember vividly trying to get them to smile - first big brother then little brother, but nothing! I remember watching them board the bus and... (posted by Patricia 278 days 23 hours ago.)
